Privacy policy
What we collect, why, where it goes, and how to ask for it back — in plain language.
Last updated: 1 October 2026
The short version
- You can read this site and take the Quick-Check without an account and without giving us your name or email.
- Your Quick-Check answers stay in your own browser. We only receive them if you ask us to email your result.
- We use no advertising or tracking cookies, and we never sell or share personal data for marketing.
Who is responsible
The controller of your personal data is [LEGAL NAME OF THE OWNER OR COMPANY], [REGISTERED ADDRESS, COUNTRY]. For anything about privacy, write to [email protected].
What we collect, and why
Visiting the site. Our hosting provider, [HOSTING PROVIDER], processes technical data needed to deliver the pages and keep them secure: your IP address, browser type, and the date and time of the request. We rely on our legitimate interest in running a secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Fonts and images are served from our own domain, so opening a page does not send your data to third-party font or advertising services.
The Quick-Check. Your answers are saved only in your browser's local storage, so your result survives a page refresh. They are not sent to us. Choosing “Retake the Quick-Check” or clearing your browser data deletes them.
Emailing your result. If you enter your email address on the result page and ask us to send your result, we receive your email address together with your answers and the points they flagged. Because those answers relate to health, we process them only with your explicit consent (Art. 6(1)(a) and Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR), only to send you that result, and you can withdraw consent at any time.
Email updates. If you sign up for updates, we use your email address to send them, based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link.
Buying the guide. Payments are handled by [PAYMENT PROVIDER], which acts as the seller of record. It collects your payment details, billing country and email address under its own privacy policy. We never see your card number. We receive your name, email address and order details so we can deliver the guide, handle refunds and keep the records the law requires (Art. 6(1)(b) and (c) GDPR).
Contacting us. If you email us, we use your message and address to reply (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Please don't send medical records or more health detail than you need to.
Cookies and tracking
This site sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics or advertising trackers. The only thing stored on your device is your Quick-Check result, described above, which the Quick-Check needs in order to work.
Who we share data with
Only the service providers that help us run the site, each acting on our instructions under a data-processing agreement:
- [HOSTING PROVIDER] — website hosting
- [EMAIL PROVIDER] — sending emails you asked for
- [PAYMENT PROVIDER] — checkout and delivery of the guide
Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where they do, the transfer is covered by an adequacy decision or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
- Email sign-ups: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
- Emailed Quick-Check results: [RETENTION PERIOD, e.g. deleted within 30 days of sending].
- Order records: for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
- Emails you send us: up to [e.g. 12 months] after the conversation ends.
Your rights
Under the GDPR and UK GDPR you can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive it in a portable format. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Write to [email protected] and we will reply within one month.
You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority, in the country where you live or to ours: [SUPERVISORY AUTHORITY, e.g. the State Data Protection Inspectorate of Lithuania, vdai.lrv.lt].
Children
This site is written for adults and is not directed at anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
